Song collected on Miùghlaigh/Mingulay beginning 'Chi mi ghrian a fala gu siulach, Si dol tiom Ru'n dunu'. The song is composed of thirty-seven lines, with the final two lines being scored out as if deleted. There are two places marked with the numbers '1' and '2' as if the second pair are to be inserted where the first pair are written. Two songs and accompanying story collected from Ruary an Ruma MacNeil [Roderick MacNeil] aged 88, Miùghlaigh/Mingulay. The story tells how 'Seumas Sasunach mac Eoin mhic ogh an Oll[amh] Illeaich' came to Mingulay and stayed for a year at the house of a man who had a very beautiful wife. He poisoned the husband and he and the man's widow decided to marry she being pregnant with his child.
